Heather Dietz, PA-C
Heather graduated from Washington State University as a Pre-Medical student majoring in Dietetics. After a year of working at Saint Luke’s Regional Medical Center, she completed her Masters in Physician Assistant Studies from Idaho State University. She then moved to North Carolina to attend a residency at Duke University Medical Center. In 2005, she returned to Boise to specialize in Psychiatry. In February 2007, she was very excited to join her mentor, the much respected founder of Foothills Psychiatry, Dr. Leslie Lundt. In 2009 Heather became the proud co-owner of Foothills Psychiatry, Incorporated.
Heather is currently accepting new patients aged 14 years and older. She encourages whole body health and a team approach when treating Mood and Anxiety Disorders (including during pregnancy and postpartum), Eating Disorders, Learning Disorders, the spectrum of Bipolar Disorders, Sleep and Substance Use Disorders.
Heather also believes strongly in education and the incorporation of continued learning in her practice. She offers many techniques on the road to wellness including: education on diet, exercise, breathing and stress relief techniques, sleep hygiene, and overall health. In addition, to maintaining her license, she is required to continue her own learning including: 100 hours of Continuing Medical Education every two years, passing the National Re-Certification exam every ten years for the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants, maintaining good standing with the Idaho State Board of Medicine, and maintaining registration with the Idaho State Board of Pharmacy and National Drug Enforcement Agency.
She is the proud mother of two amazing children and the wife of one inspiring husband. She is passionate about family, friends, running, fitness and education.
